Ingredients

  • 1 ⅓ Cups of Flour
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 2 ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • ⅓ cup melted shortening

Instructions

  1. Spoon or pour flour into dry measuring cup. Level off and pour into mixing bowl. Add sugar, baking powder and salt; stir well to blend.
  2. Combine milk, egg and melted shortening. Mix well
  3. Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients. Mix well
  4. Beat egg until stiff. Fold into batter.
  5. Bake on preheated waffle iron until golden brown
